Cancer cells are good cells, called self, that have gone bad. These cells that we continue to build as replacement cells for those cells that have died may not be perfect cells. The new cells may be mutated, diseased or confused and these cells know that they are to be destroyed by the immune system cells. So these new cells play a game of hide and seek with their destroyers. The new cells bore a hole in a good cell and if the person is stressed for any reason the immne system cells are lazy and don't work hard enough to continue the chase.
